Placed in the heart of Istria, San Canzian is an authentic luxury Village & Hotel, situated in a medieval village with a fortress and a small Romanesque chapel named after St Cantianus. The fortress is long gone and the only thing remaining are the chapel foundations — but nature has stayed the same. This magical location and it's rich history were the main inspiration for San Canzian's architecture, design, gastronomy (Luciano restaurant) and everything else it offers.  

Combining elements of something old (serifed Saint Cantianus monogram) and something new (stylish ligature) resulted in a simple yet elegant visual identity that communicates hotel's values as well as Istrian heritage. The rest of the branding follows this philosophy with soothing earth-toned color palette, recycled paper and rust-like Corten steel for signage. San Canzian website was also designed in a minimal and clean way, putting emphasis on beautiful pictures, "softened" with the watercolor illustrations of the typical Istrian symbols such as kažun, olive  leaves, boškarin etc.
